Defending champions, D’Tigress of Nigeria will face Cameroon in the quarter-final of the ongoing 2025 Women’s AfroBasket at the Palais Des Sports de Treichville, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday (today).
The highly anticipated encounter will kick-off at 10pm Nigerian time.
D’ Tigress won their two group games against Rwanda, and Mozambique to seal a place in the last-eight.
Rena Wakama’s side started their campaign with a resounding 92-45 victory over Rwanda.
They were, however, made to work harder in the second game, before labouring to a 65-60 victory.
Cameroon booked their spot in the quarter-finals after overpowering Angola 85-64 in their last group game.
D’Tigress are looking to make history by becoming the first team to win a fifth consecutive women’s AfroBasket title.
